When I got interested in science, I dreamt of going to space. I still do!

To be an astronaut. I wanted to work for NASA and eventually go into space 🙂

It changed a lot! When I was in primary school, I loved reading and writing so my dream job back then was to be an author (I wanted to be the next Jacqueline Wilson because her books were my favourites). When I started secondary school, I got more into art and design and thought I might want to do something related to this – I tried to get work experience as a graphic designer when I was 15 but no one replied to my emails 🙁 Because of this, I ended up working at the Met Office (they do research into the weather and climate) instead because one of my friend’s mums worked there. It was here that I got my first proper taste of scientific research and I loved it! I think this was probably the first point where I realised that being a scientist was a job that I might want to do in the future but I still wouldn’t say it was my dream job back then – I had no idea what I wanted to do!
      .
Because I enjoyed science and I was good at it, I chose to study physics at university. This was when I really realised how much I loved the subject and being a scientist became my dream job!

I was dreaming of getting into anything technical or scientific. It has got clearer and clearer along the way here.
