I listen to quite a variety of music! I generally like indie electronic and psychedelic music like Hot Chip and Tame Impala but I grew up listening to a lot of 80s music because this was what my parents liked. I also like bands such as Muse who I saw play at the Etihad stadium in Manchester at the weekend – it was probably the best gig I have ever been to! I’m also guilty of listening to musicals sometimes and am soon going to see The Book of Mormon which I am super excited for.
I’m a fan of anything upbeat and acoustic, and I think generally the songs I like fall into the indie category. For example a current playlist I’m listening to has music from Tom Walker, Imagine Dragons, Bastille, Panic! At The Disco, Lewis Capaldi and James TW.
Well, since I was a teenager in England in the 1970s, I like rock music. My favourite band is Pink Floyd, favourite guitarist is Jim Hendrix, and my all time favourite album is the Magician’s Birthday by Uriah Heep, which features one of the best guitar solos ever. However, I also like classical music and, of course, the Blues and the Beatles, and I like well written ballads by people such as the late Leonard Cohen. I’m not too fond of country, but I like traditional folk songs.
